I’m Travis Paternostro. My construction career began in terrazzo installation and grinding in 2005, then grew into estimating, shop drawings, project management, procurement, and division operations.
I headed estimating at Top End Constructors from 2010 through 2023. From 2015 through September 2023, I also managed Southern California division operations while continuing to lead estimating. My work connected bid preparation with the practical demands of materials, scheduling, suppliers, crews, and project execution.
I built Paternostro Estimating Services to give contractors an experienced point of contact for the work behind the bid—whether you need help with one project or ongoing estimating capacity.

A family tradition
built into Hollywood.
In my family, terrazzo connects three generations. My grandfather, Biaggio Paternostro, worked on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. My father, David, carried that tradition forward, installing the stars that became part of Hollywood’s landscape. I became the third generation to do that work.
My own part in that story was hands-on: fabricating brass stars and lettering, placing terrazzo, then grinding and finishing the surface. Those stars may carry famous names, but making them is a craftsman’s job—one that depends on preparation, careful work, and attention to the details people see every day.
That same field experience shaped my move into estimating. I began as a terrazzo installer and grinder in 2005, led estimating from 2010 through 2023, and also managed Southern California division operations from 2015 through September 2023. Along the way, I worked with drawings, quantities, materials, suppliers, schedules, and crews—the decisions that connect a bid to the finished work.
Paternostro Estimating Services carries that experience into a new chapter. When I review your project, I bring both sides of the work with me: the estimator reading the plans and the craftsman who understands what it takes to build them.
