Know how the work is handled
Working terms.
Clear expectations.
These proposed working policies explain the service. A project starts only under an accepted written quote or service agreement. Project-specific signed terms control where they differ.
Agreed scope & deliverables
Your written project quote defines the assignment, document revisions, deliverables, fee, payment schedule, and delivery target. Standard files are PDFs. Editable workbooks, shop drawings, procurement schedules, or additional formats are included only when specifically agreed upon. Quantities, scope review, and priced bids are distinct assignments. An inquiry is not an instruction to start work.
Deadlines, late addenda & rush work
Delivery timing is confirmed after the current documents, scope, required pricing inputs, authorization, and agreed upfront payment are received. The quote identifies the document cut-off and included revision allowance. New addenda, RFI answers, missing inputs, changed scope, or revised deadlines may require a new fee and delivery schedule. Send changes immediately; same-day work is accepted only after availability, revised delivery timing, and charges are confirmed in writing. Do not assume a bid deadline has been extended—provide the written extension. A late change does not create an automatic emergency obligation.
Payment, revisions & monthly support
Proposed launch policy: the quote states any upfront payment or deposit; the remaining balance is due before release of final files. Monthly support is prepaid and capped at the stated hours. Extra hours, added scope, and rush work need written approval before work begins. Rush work is proposed at $150/hour with a $150 minimum, replacing the $100 standard hourly revision rate for those hours. Unused monthly hours do not roll over. Renewal, cancellation notice, and any recurring-charge authorization must be stated in a separate accepted service agreement; this site does not enroll or charge anyone. On cancellation, completed work and approved committed costs are reconciled against payments, and any unearned balance is returned under the accepted quote.
Cards on file
This site does not collect, store, or charge card details. If a payment processor is connected later, saving a card and authorizing future charges will require separate consent stating when and how charges may occur. An approved payment method is not open-ended permission to charge for emergency work. Do not include payment card or bank details in an inquiry.
Pricing assumptions, markup & allowances
Your labor costs, production assumptions, supplier quotes, material waste, equipment costs, contingency, and profit basis are recorded separately. Markup is calculated on cost; gross margin is calculated on selling price. Supplier pricing, tax, freight, wage schedules, crew assumptions, and quote expiry dates must be confirmed for the project. Allowances are labeled and approved; they are not represented as firm supplier quotes or actual field conditions. Prevailing-wage requirements and union labor rates are separate inputs and may both apply.
Confidentiality & conflicts of interest
Your drawings, supplier quotes, labor rates, target margins, and bid figures are confidential. They are used to prepare and review your requested work, not shopped to competing bidders or reused as another contractor’s confidential pricing. Before accepting work, I check for known conflicts involving the same project and trade scope. I will not knowingly prepare competing bids for the same project and trade scope without prior informed written consent from the affected clients; if confidentiality or independence cannot be protected, I will decline the conflicting assignment. Tell me about relevant bidders and restrictions during intake. Each bid is prepared independently from that client’s scope, costs, and approved assumptions. Independent bids may still contain similar quantities or market costs; different prices, an award, or a particular profit cannot be guaranteed.
Client / general contractor communication
Your company controls how communication is handled. I contact your client, GC, architect, or supplier on your behalf only within your written authorization. Contact permission does not authorize me to commit you to pricing, sign contracts, submit a bid, or accept changes without specific written instructions. You remain responsible for final bid approval and submission.
Records, saved profiles & privacy
Inquiry details are stored in a restricted business inquiry inbox so Travis can review and respond. Pricing information is used only for the requested service. If you opt in, working preferences may be retained for repeat assignments so you do not need to re-enter unchanged details. Every reused profile is subject to current confirmation; old rates are not assumed current. Request a copy, correction, return of supplied files, or deletion through Contact Us. Requests will be verified. Necessary billing and contractual records may be retained where required by law or for legitimate recordkeeping, and residual backups may expire on their normal cycle. Electronic copies are not made exclusive by returning a file. Do not submit information you are not authorized to share.
Review, corrections & acceptance
I personally review the agreed measurements, scope, and pricing organization. You review the final proposal and decide what to bid. Report a suspected error promptly so it can be checked against the agreed document set. New instructions and revisions are distinguished from corrections to the original agreed work. Field measurements, actual substrate conditions, moisture testing, code interpretations, and installation decisions require the appropriate project professionals. No bid award or exact final construction cost is promised.
